CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

BASIC & INTERMEDIATE:

WERQ— Basic, Intermediate, WERQ® is the fiercely fun dance fitness class based on top 40 pop, rock, and hip hop music taught by Certified Fitness Professional.

Zumba®— Basic, Intermediate, Zumba® involves dance and aerobic elements. Zumba’s® choreography incorporates hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue, mambo and martial arts.

BASIC, INTERMEDIATE & ADVANCED:

Yoga— Basic, Intermediate, Advanced. A Hindu spiritual and ascetic discipline, a part of which, including breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures, is widely practiced for health and relaxation. Yoga focuses on physical and mental strength building exercises and postures.

Pilates— Basic, Intermediate, Advanced. A system of exercises using special apparatus, designed to improve physical strength, flexibility, and posture, and enhance mental awareness.

Strength— Basic, Intermediate, Advanced. A type of physical exercise specializing in the use of resistance to induce muscular contraction which builds the strength, anaerobic endurance, & size of skeletal muscles.

Resist-a-ball— Basic, Intermediate, Advanced. A primary benefit of exercising with an exercise ball as opposed to exercising directly on a hard flat surface is that the body responds to the instability of the ball to remain balanced, engaging many more muscles. Those muscles become stronger over time to keep balance. Most frequently, the core body muscles — the abdominal muscles and back muscles — are the focus of exercise ball fitness programs.

LeBarre— Basic, Intermediate, Advanced. Taking the hottest trend in dance-inspired conditioning, ballet barre training, and using “make-sense progression” and the LeBert Equalizer to create a format suitable for every level of exerciser. LeBARRE is a workout like no other! This format combines Balance, Agility, Resistance, Working Recovery and Eloquence into a challenging full body workout.

INTERMEDIATE & ADVANCED:

PiYo— Intermediate, Advanced. PiYo is a hybrid, athletic workout, which combines the mind/body practices of Yoga & Pilates with the principles of stretch, strength training, conditioning & dynamic movement.

Step— Intermediate, Advanced. A form of aerobic power distinguished from other types of aerobic exercise by its use of an elevated platform (the step). The height can be tailored to individual needs by inserting risers under the step.

Kettlebell— Intermediate, Advanced. A cast-iron weight (resembling a cannonball with a handle) used to perform ballistic exercises that combine cardiovascular, strength and flexibility training.

KickBox MixUp— Intermediate, Advanced. The techniques used during the one-hour classes are based on authentic kickboxing techniques which provide both resistance training and cardiovascular benefits to its participants.

Tabata & Tabata/Strength— Intermediate, Advanced. Training in high intensity interval training improves aerobic systems as well as anaerobic system. 20 sec HI, 10 sec rest, repeat…

Ripped— Intermediate, Advanced. Experience this total body “plateau proof fitness formula” workout, utilizing resistance and cardio training, which masterfully combines Resistance, Intervals, Power, Plyometrics, Endurance, and Diet components of R.I.P.P.E.D. to help you attain and maintain your physique in ways that are fun, safe, doable and extremely effective.
